PPP Layer Cages
The “M” cages were designed for ease of stacking - the tapered back corner allowing for a deflector sheet.
Each cage measure 6 ft long with 6 compartments in each, 12 inches wide by 18 inches deep. Dimensions from back of cage to end of roll-out floor measures 2 ft 6 inches.
The “M” cage houses 12 - 18 birds, 2 or 3 birds per compartment depending on climatic conditions. The recommendation for hot humid conditions is 12 birds per cage.
‘M’ cages can be supplied with automatic hart cup watering and feed troughs to make a complete layer setup.
PPP Rearing Cages
Rearing cages are 6 feet long by 2 feet wide divided into 3 compartments, housing poultry from 6 weeks to 16 weeks of age.
Each compartment measures 2 feet square. The number of birds per cage depends upon age and size of flock as to how many birds each cage will hold.
A general guide would be :

| 10 to 12 weeks | -30 | birds per cage |
| 12 to 16 weeks | -24 | birds per cage |
Rearing cages may also be set up back to back with the water line running between them, supplying water to both sets of cages.
PPP Brooder Cages
The Brooder Cage is 6 feet long by 2 feet wide divided into two compartments of 3 feet long by 2 feet wide.
Each brooder cage can hold 60-65 birds from day old to 6 or 7 weeks of age. Initially the chicks are housed in one half of the cage under a brooder lamp to provide warmth.
As they grow, the centre division can be lifted up against the top, so that the chicks may use the complete cage.
